🐐 Kidding & Breeding Update

Here at The Bohemian Farmstead, kidding season is one of the most rewarding and carefully planned times of the year. Our Nigerian Dwarf goats are known for their sweet temperaments, colorful coats, rich creamy milk, and exceptional family-friendly personalities. Every breeding is thoughtfully selected to improve milk quality, conformation, longevity, and overall herd health while preserving the unique beauty and charm of the breed.

2026 Kidding Season Recap

We are officially beyond our 2026 kidding season and are incredibly grateful for a successful year here on the farmstead. This season, we welcomed 12 healthy kids (see below for some cute pictures) — including doelings, bucklings, and companion wethers — all of whom have now gone on to wonderful local farms and loving family homes throughout the community.

From playful moonspotted babies to sweet snuggly bottle helpers, this year’s kids brought so much joy to our farm and to the families who welcomed them home. We are thankful for every family who trusted us to provide healthy, socialized goats raised with love and daily hands-on care.

As we begin preparing for the next chapter of our herd program, we are excited to announce our planned Fall 2026 breedings with:

These pairings are expected to produce beautiful, well-structured Nigerian Dwarf kids with strong dairy genetics, colorful coats, and exceptional temperaments.

We carefully select for sweet, high-butterfat milk ideal for drinking, cheesemaking, soapmaking, skincare, and other handcrafted farmstead products.

Strong legs, balanced conformation, and well-attached udders help ensure healthy, productive goats for years to come.

🤎 Friendly Temperaments

Our kids are handled daily from birth and raised around children, making them wonderful additions for families, homesteads, 4-H homes, and small farms.

From flashy buckskins to moonspots and rich traditional dairy coloring, we love producing eye-catching kids while keeping health and production our top priorities.

📋 Reservations & Waitlist Information

Reservations for our next kidding season will reopen after successful Fall breeding. Families on our waitlist will receive first notification once pairings are confirmed and reservation spots become available.

A deposit is required to reserve a future kid. If you choose not to move forward during a particular season, your deposit may be:

• Rolled into the following year’s kidding season, or

• Applied toward products from our farm shop

We also plan to continue offering on-farm meet-and-greet pickup days so families can spend time with the kids before final selections are made.
